IS THE LICENCE FEE FUNDING THE CULTURE OF DEATH?

What is the culture of death?

The Holy Father defined the Culture of Death as being certain trends in modern secular western society. These trends condone and legalise the killing of unborn children and the morning after pill etc.

The TV companies of the West seems to promote the culture of death. In Britain we have had Channel 4’s My Foetus, which showed the killing of an unborn baby.

BBC’s Sexwise website along with BBC World Service promotes condom usage and abortions through out the world. It does this in conjunction with International Planned Parenthood Federation the IPPF. The IPPF made a profit of $36 million for performing abortions in the USA last year.

Channel 4’s Beijing Swings involved the cooking and eating of a dead baby by a performance artist. Is this the result of the re-emergence of paganism and atheism, which in turn is the result of decades of anti-Church propaganda from the media? Beijing Swings shows how desensitised the viewing public have become.

But the Licence Fee does not fund ITV, Channel 4 and 5?

This is true, however because the BBC does not compete for advertising revenue it leaves more funding available for ITV Channel 4 & 5.

Some say that I do not believe TV is anti-Christian

It would be nice to believe that, but are there reactionary pagan elements within broadcasting circles that are harping back to lifestyles that failed 2000 years ago? In doing this and perhaps because of this are they trying to discredit the Church?

Is there a possibility that you would receive secular TV again?

For those of us who refuse to receive secular broadcast television into our homes we need assurance that it is safe to turn the TV on again. For in recent years the TV that carries broadcasts by the BBC has been acting like an electronic parasite in the heart of the family. The TV producers who are the champions of secular moral modernity needs to understand that in order to be invited into our homes again it needs to behave in a civilised manner. We are tired of being attacked and shocked in our own living rooms and having to pay for the privilege.

Does the TV licence burden the poor?

There were 96,500 licence fee convictions in 2002. In Britain we seem to make law breakers where its impossible to break the law in other countries. Is this TV tax an unnecessary burden on the poor?
